tINI is a key member of the Desolat family, the coterie of artists that has coalesced around the Loco Dice- and Martin Buttrich-helmed imprint the last few years. She got her start on the scene back in 2003, gigging in and around her hometown of Munich and eventually building sufficient momentum to gain the recognition of Loco Dice, who signed her to the label. Residencies for Fuse in London and Ushuaia in Ibiza contributed to her growing reputation in the ensuing years, both ideal places to absorb her brand of deep, groove-centred house music. tINI’s studio output has been fairly modest overall, choosing instead to make a statement in the album format.Tessa at the end of 2011, presenting 12 tracks that revelled in all percussive dexterity and textural intricacies we’d come to expect from her DJ sets.
